As I always try to stress in my posts, reflexology works with your particular body and every woman is different. Many women find Reflexology can resolve their PMS issues and it is especially wonderful at reducing stress. A few women may need other therapies to fully address their problems.

Hi Erin - sometimes it can just be a sore toe caused by other factors. It's always best to check with your doctor and if he or she finds no cause, then try Reflexology to see if it can alleviate the soreness. In some cases the reflex will become sore before you see other symptoms.

This makes sense if reflexology reduces stress levels especially. Anything that can help bring some level of hormonal balance to women with PMDD or PMS should be given a try for everyone’s benefit ... but I think it might have to be in conjunction with other natural therapies.

My big toe hurts right in the middle of my pad but I'm sleeping great. Whats the deal? I just ordered these new wedges for a show coming up and really don't want my sore toe to stop me from wearing them

Hello Susan,

As a reflexologist and the father of five daughters, I can attest to the benefits of providing reflexology during those times of "emotional and physical imbalance" that challenged our household - seemingly on a never-ending rotation!
Reflexology was a standard protocol when one (or more) of my daughters began to feel the symptoms of PMS coming on. And, I have to say, it did reduce the angst and energy of a full-on outbreak of PMS!
It also made me a better reflexologist and afforded me the opportunity to become closer to my daughters. They still ask for reflexology sometimes :-)
To be proactive, I taught them how to give themselves reflexology on their feet, hands and ears. This empowered them to take action and alleviate those darn PMS symptoms before they took hold. I still chuckle when I picture all of us watching television together and they're all sitting there tugging on their ear lobes - ah, the memories.
Thanks for a great post and the trip down memory lane.

Hello! I understand this is somewhat off-topic however I needed to ask. Does running a well-established website like yours require a massive amount work? I'm brand new to writing a blog however I do write in my journal daily. I'd like to start a blog so I can share my personal experience and thoughts online. Please let me know if you have any suggestions or tips for new aspiring bloggers. Thankyou!

Hi Susan
I had no idea that reflexology could help with kidney stone pain. I had my first experience of kidney stones about 18 months ago and was doubled up in pain. Not an experience I ever want to repeat. I will do some research into reflexology to find out more. Thanks for the excellent post.

Hi Cameron: I recommend the reflexology charts offered by the International Institute of Reflexology. You can purchase through their website at http://www.reflexology-usa.net/books.htm; however, the interactive charts you can find on my site in the Therapies pull-down menu http://susanmix.com/therapies/reflexology-foot-map/ and http://susanmix.com/therapies/reflexology-hand-map/ are good charts as well. Good reflexes for focus to relieve stress are neck, shoulders, adrenals, and spinal.

Susan,

I have been interested in reflexology for the past few years but recently I researching more lately. I have had some problems locating a full and complete chart for your feet and hands. Charts seems to contain a lil bit of info or general areas on some charts. Can you help me in locating a chart or two that would give me a complete chart. Also I would like to know on how to read more about stress points and try to fix the areas. Thanks for your time
